I am supportive of the plan where it develops sites already well served by rail, road, hospital, shopping and leisure facilities. Infrastructure requirements for the extra demand on utilities, education and primary care facilities will need to be planned and resourced. Wherever possible allowing settlements good pedestrian, cycling and bus routes as a realistic means of transport must be considered. The character of areas must be respected, open spaces encouraged and prevent garden grabbing.

The population projection is not in line with the most recent actuals; The conversion factor of persons per household is totally at odds with the recent development actuals ('stunning 3, 4 and 5-bedroom houses built when the persons per household projections give in the region of 1 person per house); A failure of the policies to ensure that the needs of the over-65s, which the consultation identifies as being the largest single driver of population increase, are met with appropriate homes.
