The developments at Site SA414 Land North East of Henfield (Mayfield) and Site SA716 Buck Barn/Land at Newhouse Farm, West Grinstead will significantly increase traffic on the already overburdened A272, particularly traffic seeking to access the A23/M23 either turning north at Cowfold or at Bolney. No railway station will result in private car journeys, rat running on rural lanes and use of dangerous junctions. All this is exacerbated by Mid Sussex development pressure on A272.

The plans for further development around an already over developed ‘new’ area east and west sides of Billingshurst are unjustified and should not be approved/go ahead.

Ashington has a poor existing infrastructure and no plans to improve it, poor transport links and no plans to improve them, no healthcare facilities and no plans to add them, little consideration given to, and no community consultation, on any new community facilities.
