Although this proposal would increase the homes in Ashington by over 60% there seems to be no plan to improve the facilities etc in our village. Our primary school, small Co-op(with a handful of parking spaces)and sparse bus service would not be able to sustain an increase of this size.No doctors surgery or rail station or local jobs in or around the village & we already have to use cars to access these in Steyning,Worthing,Horsham,Storrington .Traffic & pollution would increase hugely.

The vision statement ought to be aspirational rather than defensive: It should guide development rather than reacting to it.

ASHINGTON- There is no plan to increase and improve faciliies or provide local jobs to support such a substantial increase to the housing and population level .Commuting from Ashington already involves considerable traffic congestion,an increase of 625 homes would make it intolerable.
