We are promoting at site north of Rock Road, Thakeham, for residential development and completed a detailed submission as part of the Council’s consultation on the Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA). The Council has given the site the reference SA384. We do not agree with elements of the Council’s assessment of the site and explain this further later in our response.

GAL does not pass comment on the three different options being consulted on for the scale of housing provision to be planned for. GAL’s concern is to ensure that the location and impacts of any strategic allocations (either urban extensions or new communities) are compatible with the future development of the airport.
