We are fully supportive of the need to protect the natural environment and landscape character as part of the development process. Our Landscape Statement (attached) shows how we have approached this issue, and shows that we have no impact on the Surrey Hills AONB and High Weald AONB, and only negligible impact on the South Downs National Park.
I support the idea of avoiding the coalescence of existing settlements together with the proposals for protecting the open spaces between Horsham and Southwater.
The policy does not adequately demonstrate that HDC has taken into account the UK’s legally binding requirements regarding the Paris Agreement and net zero carbon by 2050.
The Natural Environment and Landscape Character West of Crawley [including the ancient Parish of Ifield] are not protected, conserved or enhanced by Homes Engkand's masterplan.
