We agree with this draft policy and that the Council should consider whether the designation of Green Belt may be appropriate in this District. We have also made suggestions in our full comment.
We fully support the need to protect local identity and a sense of place. We have shown that the land at Adversane has the potential to be developed without significantly reducing the perception of openness within the rural landscape between the three settlements of Billingshurst, Pulborough and West Chiltington, or undermining the individual identity and sense of place of each individual village (see our Landscape Statement).
