I would like to object to the proposed amendments to the built up area of Lower Beeding as currently set out in the Local Plan Review by HDC. The proposed boundary appears to have been arbitrarily set without any consideration to the draft Village Plan which seeks to support 'Windfall sites' within the village, yet by curtailing the proposed built up area it excludes a number of 'Windfall Sites' thereby blighting any potential application. The built up area should be extended accordingly..

Objection on the basis of: The extent and scale of planned housing constitutes a change to the character of the area, a significant deterioration in the the quality of life of existing residents due to increased congestion, pollution, and pressure on services which have not been expanded to cater for the increase in population. The lack of sustainability criteria in the numbers, nature and quality of the constructions which makes inadequate provision for climate mitigation and habitat loss.

I am objecting to Mayfield Market Towns Ltd housing as it is in an area of flooding which will affect surrounding villages. no infrastructure so surrounding roads will become even more conjested than now. Henfield and other villages will no longer exist but will become suburbs of this town. No local work so cars will have to be used to get to railway station approx. 7 miles away - hassocks with a small carpark.

The proposed Mayfield Market Towns development is in conflict with SP42 (Transport), SP28 (Rural character) and SP26 (Pollution).

I believe that this development will be detrimental to the local area.
