Against the three proposals put forward by Horsham District Council for Billingshurst and Adversane due to recent builds where no additional infrastructure has been added including doctors, dentist and schools, irrevocable damage to the environment and wildlife, being so close to the South Downs National Park and total ignorance of the District Council where only a few gain financially.

AS regards Ashington the PC have prepared a plan over several years and consulted widely HDC plan has had no consultation other than one trip to the village when they did not even have a plan to show residents.

The proposed developments in Ashington are unsustainable as there is no proposed increase in local facilities or shops, therefore residents will be reliable on the use of private cars. This is not achieving low carbon objectives.

Mayfield will ruin the local area, cause road congestion, be an eye sore from the South Downs National Park, be built on flood plains causing misery for the people who buy/rent those properties, the roads & rail system can not cope, nor can the schools, hospitals or doctors. It will destroy the homes of local wildlife. All for the sake of profit and greed.

Comment on extra houses now 625 in Ashington, locals had hoped the 225 suggested by the Ashington plan would be our fair share

It is totally unsustainable to build up to 7,000 houses in this area of unspoilt land without first completely establishing a new infrastructure which is capable of absorbing it.
