Summary | Provision of schooling, doctor ,dentist facilities Billingshurst developments |
Comment | I believe that the Weald school is nearing the limit of its pupil capability. Our only dentist surgery is very busy and rarely take on new NHS patients. The doctors surgery, despite its refurbishment, is limited in size and will not be able to cope with the thousands of new homes proposed. No new schools or surgeries have been built or proposed as far as i am aware. When space has been allocated, the Health Authorities and Education departments do not have the funding to take advantage . Therefore the land reverts back to the developers for yet more housing after a period of time. A proposed new site for a dental surgery in the existing development had NO parking spaces allocated for patients , therefore was unusable and turned down. |
Proposed Change | New housing has to come with the full range of infrastructure that is always being talked about but never seems to materialise. No facilities, no more housing. |
