Proposed Change Table 2 This is a most confusing table. Does this mean no houses larger than 4 bedrooms are permitted? Columns add up to 100%, but not rows. .
What is the policy on Housing for older people? The specialist needs of the older generation should be a policy, not a vague aspiration
The Horsham Society suggests that all dwellings must have adaptability built in for changes in family and requirements. Minimum 15% need to be specifically adaptable for older people to use in later life including minimum 5% needs to be retirement and care homes. (based on 21% population aged over 65 from HDC population figures)
Self-builders need an allocated percentage. Horsham District Council do have the responsibility to ensure suitable sites come to the market.
