Shipley Neighbourhood Plan Regulation 16 Consultation

ANNOUNCEMENT - COVID - 19

In light of recent announcements regarding COVID - 19, Horsham District Council has reviewed its protocols regarding the consultation process for neighbourhood plans, a number of which were published for public consultation shortly before the Government imposed the nationwide lockdown.

In order to continue to progress neighbourhood plans, we have made a decision to continue with the consultation process. However, as these consultation events commenced close to the time when restrictions on movement came into force, it has been decided these should be extended. If you are having difficulties in responding to the consultation please contact: neighbourhood.planning@horsham.gov.uk at the earliest possible opportunity so that we can take this into account.

Shipley Parish Council (as the qualifying body) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP), entitled "Shipley Neighbourhood Plan 2019-2031", for their Parish with the help of the local community.  The NDP sets out a vision for the future of the Parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally.  In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulation 2012 (as amended), the Shipley Neighbourhood Development Plan and associated documents will go out to consultation for 9 weeks from 5pm Monday 9 March to midnight Monday 11 May 2020.
